Where do you keep your teaching materials? In a filing cabinet? Tucked in a spare room? When my mom started teaching the Bible, she had an array of flannel graph figures and lesson plans stored in a bedroom closet, along with visualized songs, stories of faith, games, and ideas for making teaching fun. Everything was in “the teaching closet.”
When I started teaching as an adult, my mom gave me everything in her closet--under the condition that I had to use it! I felt that I had been given a treasure of resources to start my teaching ventures. As my closet became packed with my own lesson plans and visuals, people began to ask how they could find the resources I had found helpful in teaching.
This website was designed to help others access the resources I have in my teaching closet. May you find it to be valuable for your own teaching closet!
